U.S. magazine claims that Nicki will be co-Mariah Carey

Nicki Minaj may be the new judge on American Idol, is what Us Weekly says.

The rapper would be joining the Mariah Carey. "Not sure if the deal is already finalized, but she is involved, for sure. Still some things left to be signed, but it will happen," said a source.

Representatives from Fox and Nicki refused to comment.

Meanwhile, Mariah Carey is the only artist confirmed as a judge of the program.

Nick Jonas and Alanis Morissette stated that they are negotiating a possible participation in the program and rumors indicate that Pharrell Williams and P. Diddy can also join the panel of judges.
